For the duration of the long summer days, highs regularly are in the 80's at Big Lake, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 40's, and nighttime lows all through the winter for Big Lake tend to be in the 10's. Take a hike on the Koosharem Guard Station Scrub Flat Trail; you can run the rapids of Sevier River. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Big Lake       without first paying a visit to Christensen Spring; hiking along the Second Lefthand Fork Trail is brilliant fun. Just can't get enough of Big Lake. Big Lake is right by the Winkel Bob Trail, and Hampton Inn is a great site to get some rest. If you came for an overnight stay Bowery Creek - Fishlake National Forest is a fine spot to camp; why not check out Big Lake Reservoir Dam while you're here. There's whitewater on Salina Creek for all you thrill seekers,                  and some nearby water includes White Pine Creek. Henries Hollow is a glorious location to stop at in the neighborhood of Big Lake, and if you need a site to stay Appletree Inn is a nice choice. It is very dehydrated here at Big Lake mostly; of all the months in a year September is the one with the most rain, and January meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful.
