Around Big Lake you don’t get a lot of rain; March is the wettest month with most rain, and June meanwhile is the driest month. If you're here, you might as well visit Brown Canyon; dry warm beds await you at Best Western Red Hills. This lake is so wonderful. Why not camp at Hitch-n-post since you're here at Big Lake, and after a long day outdoors Clarion Hotel Victorian Charm Inn is a good spot to spend a night       or two. If you haven’t been to Pipe Spring National Monument, you should schedule some time for it while you're here. A great location to camp here at Big Lake is Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park, needless to say you could also stop by Three Lakes while you're here; it's not far at all. Summer brings highs in the 90's to Big Lake, and the overnight is rather chillier of course, ordinarily in the 60's.
