Best Western Capitol Reef Resort is a perfect place to get some rest, and locations like Beef Meadows are good to visit. Take a hike on the Aquarius Trail. There's so much to do here at Big Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Oak Creek Campground is a delightful place for that. A fine vista of scenic Boulder Mountain is available from Big Lake. For the duration of the summer       months at Big Lake highs are frequently in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 40's. For the period of the winter this place gets highs in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Big Lake are in the 0's. Not much rainfall falls here at Big Lake; the wettest month of the year is usually August, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month is February. Big Lake is right by the Indian Trail; a good close by hotel is Torrey-Days Inn                  Capitol Reef N.P.. Big Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Pleasant Creek Campground is a great local campground; you can have a great hiking adventure along the Pollywog Lake Trail. And that's not all you can do here at Big Lake.
