Big Hollow Reservoir gets very little rainfall; during August this area sees the most rain, and the driest of the months is February. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Big Hollow Reservoir; Pollywog Lake Trail is a good local trail, and since you might be in a lake visiting                  mood you can always visit nearby Brinkerhoff Pond.
