It is very dehydrated here at Bennion Lake typically; May is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month is February. Hiking along the Dry Fork Trail is glorious fun, and get your pulse rate up on the great whitewater of Yellowstone River. Yep, outdoors amusing stuff to do are beyond doubt bountiful here at Bennion Lake. Island Lake Dam has tremendous water scenery and it's right next door to Bennion       Lake, and if you need a place to stay Best Western Inn is a pleasant choice. If you came for an overnight stay Wandin Campground is a tremendous site to camp, and a great spot to explore nearby is Thompson Pass. And that's not all you can do here in the Uinta Mountains. You're possibly hooked on lakes, Dime Lake is one of those nearby; there's whitewater on Uinta River for all you adrenaline junkies. This lake is so wonderful. Why not camp at Hoop Lake Campground while you're here at Bennion Lake. High temperatures at Bennion Lake during the summertime are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 50's.
