Go for a hike on the Boulder Mail Trail, and Wonderland Inn is a fine place to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. Baker Pasture is a tremendous site to check out; Sawmill Lake is a good lake nearby. If you don't mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Fremont River. Going for a hike on the Aquarius Trail is always a splendid adventure, and there are other places here than Bear Lake, for example Cuddyback Lake.
And

that's not all you can do here at Bear Lake. A tremendous close by hotel is Days Inn Torrey - Capital Reef. There's so much to do here at Bear Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Oak Creek Campground is a good place for that. Bear Lake gets very little precipitation; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain, and February is the month with the least moisture.
