    Bear Lake is a lake worth visiting. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Uinta Mountains. If you come at the right time of year, Rock Creek offers some tremendous whitewater, and don't leave Bear Lake without first going for a hike along the Fish Creek National Recreation Trail. Bear Lake is magnificent enough to spend more than a day at, Miners Gulch Campground is a magnificent local campground, and a magnificent location is Miners Gulch. Summertime highs at  
   Bear Lake regularly tend to be in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 40's. During the winter the highs are mostly in the 30's; night lows throughout the wintertime for Bear Lake tend to be in the 0's.
This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Duchesne River; there's magnificent hiking along the East Fork Pinto Lake Trail. There's so much to do here at Bear Lake that
 
               you need to camp here for a while, Yellow Pine Campground is a great site for that; you can go for a hike on the Slope Trail. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors fun things the area near Bear Lake has to offer. People from Evanston love to come to Bear Lake.
Bear Lake gets very little rainfall; through September this area sees the most rain, and March on the other hand is the driest. Bear Lake is located in the Uinta Mountains.
