Bear Lake is a nice lake to visit. The Uinta Mountains scenery is always beautiful. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Rock Creek; Bear Lake is a magnificent site to camp, Yellow Pine Campground is a magnificent site. Just can't get enough of Bear Lake. While you're here at Bear Lake you will meet lots of people from nearby Evanston; if you yearn for a little side spree, try Miners Gulch.

Through the warmest time of the year at Bear Lake highs are typically in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 40's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Bear Lake are in the 0's. You'll really wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the cool things in the Uinta Mountains. If the weather is good here at Bear Lake, you can go for a hike along the Slope Trail, and Bear Lake is not
the only location close by, Audry Lake is a close by lake.
Get your heart beating on the good whitewater of Duchesne River, and the Fish Creek National Recreation Trail is a brilliant hiking trail nearby. Bear Lake is pretty dehydrated typically; during the month of September you get the most rain around here, and the driest of the months is March. That right there is a lot of fun stuff already but it goes on, the Uinta Mountains has it all. Stay the night at Miners Gulch Campground; there is a great hiking trail close by called the East Fork Pinto Lake Trail.
