This lake is so wonderful. The skiing at Alta is wonderful; perhaps you're looking for nearby lakes? Sure, Mount Olivet Reservoir is just a very short distance away. Be careful coming to the Wasatch Range, you might       not ever wanna go home again. Have a great hiking adventure along the The Sheep Trail, and Baskin Reservoir is a good location to visit for more than one day, Box Elder Campground - Wasatch-Cache National Forest is a good location to camp nearby. This lake is so wonderful. You don’t have to go far from Baskin Reservoir to catch a sight of the water at Red Butte Dam, and dry warm beds await you at Marriott Salt Lake City University Park. This is no place                  for people who don’t like to have fun. While you're here at Baskin Reservoir you can take a hike along the Lake Desolation Trail, and glide down the rapids of Little Cottonwood Creek in a kayak. That right there is lots of exciting stuff already but it goes on, the Wasatch Range has it all. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Baskin Reservoir has to offer, you can camp at Bridger Lake Campground - Wasatch-Cache National Forest, and if you've had enough of Baskin Reservoir, Red Butte Reservoir is nearby. This lake is so wonderful. A day on the slopes of Snowbird is just what you need, and Red Butte is clearly visible from Baskin Reservoir. That right there is a lot already, but it goes on; Baskin Reservoir has it all. Reservoir Fork is one of the streams nearby that might be worth checking out, and paddling on Big Cottonwood Creek is so much fun. At Baskin Reservoir you don’t see much rain; the month of April is the wettest with most of the rain; July is when it's the driest. This lake is one of the great places here in the Wasatch Range. Yeah, come up here to the Wasatch Range for a glorious time. Emigration Tunnel Spring is a splendid local attraction, and Battle Gulch is a glorious place to spend some time. For the period of the summer months highs here at Baskin Reservoir reach the 90's while overnight lows are commonly in the 50's. Throughout the winter this place gets highs in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Baskin Reservoir are in the 10's.
