Barney Lake is pretty dried up mostly; the wettest month of the year is commonly September, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month of the year is January. Barney Lake is a splendid spot to visit for more than one day, Monrovian Park Campground is a splendid spot to camp nearby. Lakes? Sure, Manning Meadows Reservoir is in the neighborhood. Elk Meadows is a very popular ski area in the       vicinity, and don't leave Barney Lake without first paying a visit to Mud Spring. This lake is so wonderful. Fairfield Inn & Suites Richfield is a perfect site to get some rest, and there's some flowing water nearby, East Fork is a stream you can visit while here. Going for a hike on the Third Lefthand Fork Trail is always a great adventure, and close by you locate the Serviceberry Trail which is a good hiking trail. If you need a place to stay Richfield                  Travelodge is a wonderful choice. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Barney Lake has to offer, you can camp at Mystic Hotsprings. This lake is so wonderful. On a pretty day you obtain a view of Marysvale Peak from Barney Lake; Manning Meadows is a beautiful place any time of year. Life's too short to enjoy all the entertaining stuff near Barney Lake. There are some great whitewater spots on Sevier River; the Smith Canyon Trail is a perfect hiking trail close by. What a location this is for outdoors folks. Summer at Barney Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 40's, and after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Barney Lake sink into the 10's.
