Ferron Canyon Campground is a wonderful campground nearby, and if the weather is fine, you can go for a hike along the CCC Trail. For the period of the summertime months at Barewire Pond temperatures are generally in the 80's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 50's. hiking adventure along the Blue Trail.
Barewire Pond is a splendid site to visit for more than one day, Mill Site Campground is a splendid site to camp nearby; while you're here you can take a hike along the Dry Wash Trail. At
Barewire Pond you don’t see much rain; March is when you get the most rain here while June is ordinarily the driest month.
