Mill Site Campground is a great campground nearby, and a good nearby hotel is Manti Motel. This lake is so wonderful. Ferron Creek has a nice whitewater paddling spot close by. Good hiking is available along the Blue Trail, and if you're here at Barewire Pond it's a magnificent idea to explore The Cap. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Barewire Pond. Once the sun is down it drops down       to the 50's. Highs throughout the wintertime are frequently in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Barewire Pond are in the 10's. Around Barewire Pond you don’t get a lot of rain; the month of March is the wettest with most of the rain; the driest month is June. A short journey to Baseball Spring is always worthwhile, and the CCC Trail offers hiking at its best. This lake is so wonderful. Ferron Canyon Campground is a good local campground, and paddling                  on Cottonwood Creek is so much fun. Do stop by Baseball Pond right next door to Barewire Pond, it's a beautiful lake; hiking is a popular thing to do around Barewire Pond; Dry Wash Trail is a good local trail. Having a magnificent time at Barewire Pond is simple.
