The beauty of Bald Lake is reason enough to stop by. Comfort Inn Evanston is a wonderful site to get some rest, and there are plenty of folks from Evanston here. The Uinta Mountains scenery is always beautiful. And that's not all you can do here in the Uinta Mountains. Hiking along the Fish Creek National Recreation Trail is nice fun.
Bald Lake gets very little rain; September is when you get the most rain here; the driest of the months is January. So

| | much cool stuff in close proximity to Bald Lake, just tremendous. There are some glorious whitewater spots on Blacks Fork - East Fork, and Bald Lake is right by the Bear River Smiths Fork Trail. A good spot to camp here at Bald Lake is China Meadows Campground; why not take a refreshing hike along the High Line Trail.

down into the 40's. Through the winter highs are usually in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Bald Lake are in the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. There's whitewater on Blacks Fork - West Fork for all you adrenaline people,
and the vista of Bald Mountain is striking. So many entertaining things in the Uinta Mountains, just mind-boggling. Bald Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Trail Head Campground is a great local campground, and a delightful spot like Mansfield Meadows here at Bald Lake is too perfect to miss.
