West Branch Pine Creek is one of the streams close by that might be worth visiting; if the weather is good, you can go for a hike along the Boulder Mail Trail. This lake is so wonderful. At Roundy Reservoir Dam right next door to Auger Hole Lake there are some attention-grabbing things to see, and Auger Hole Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Blue Spruce Campground is a great local campground. For the period of the long                  summer days, highs mostly are in the 80's at Auger Hole Lake, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. For the period of the winter the highs are mostly in the 30's; night lows at Auger Hole Lake through the wintertime regularly dip into the 0's.
