This lake is one of the great places here in the Uinta Mountains. At Ant Reservoirs you don’t see much rainfall; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Whiterocks Campground is a good place to camp, and don't leave Ant Reservoirs without first going for a hike along the Shale Dugway. This lake is so wonderful. | | enjoyable things near Ant Reservoirs, clearly mind-boggling. While you're here at Ant Reservoirs you will meet lots of folks from close by Vernal, and you can go for a hike on the Dry Fork Trail. For the period of the summertime months at Ant Reservoirs highs are frequently in the 80's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 50's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 30's with temperatures at Ant Reservoirs dipping down into the 0's all through winter | |

nights. All year is a glorious time in the Uinta Mountains if you have a thing about the outdoors. There are some great whitewater spots on Uinta River, and do put some time aside to spend at Blank Spring while you're here at
Ant Reservoirs. Visit Pole Creek while you're here at Ant Reservoirs, and Nephi Pond is a great lake nearby. So many enjoyable things to do here in the Uinta Mountains, too great to be true. Uinta Canyon Campground is a magnificent
local campground, and East Cart Hollow is also a great location to discover. A great nearby hotel is Best Western Inn, and a striking lake like East Cart Hollow Reservoir is a great place to go to.

Little Elk Lake
 | 10 miles away That's a pretty tough road to get there. I'd say about 4 miles in, but lots of big rocks. Great views though. We took ATV's up and it was a fairly unremarkable ride. We did see a couple of 4WD Trucks headed up too. Good scenery up top. I'd like to camp there and hang out. We didn't fish. It doesn't look really good for that.... |
Chepeta Lake
 | 12 miles away Chepeta is a very hit or miss lake. Fishing can be absolutely dead one day and sweet the next. The water was crazy low two summers ago and there may not even be a lot of fish left unless they've planted it since. Worth the trip though -- if one lake is cold another will be hot.... |
Craig Lake
