The Uinta Mountains scenery is always beautiful. Through the long summer days highs here at Anchor Lake reach the 80's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's with temperatures at Anchor Lake dipping down into the 10's during winter nights. Anchor Lake in fact is in the middle of a charming outdoors paradise. There is a delightful hiking trail       near Anchor Lake called the Lofty Lake Trail, and if you need a location to stay Lodge at Stillwater is a great choice. If the weather is splendid here at Anchor Lake, you can go for a hike along the Smith Morehouse Trail; Anchor Lake is wonderful enough to spend more than a day at, Lilly Lake Campground is a wonderful local campground. Just can't get enough of the Uinta Mountains. Lakes are such serene spots, why not go to Adax Lake in the neighborhood of                  Anchor Lake; the Notch Mountain Trail is a pleasant hiking trail close by. If you came to camp Camperworld Knotty Pine is a glorious location to do that; you can run the rapids of Provo River. And if that's not enough there's plenty more entertaining things to do in the Uinta Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. Anchor Lake Reservoir Dam is not far at all from Anchor Lake; sites like Hells Kitchen are good to check out.
