     Amethyst Lake is a nice lake to visit. Amethyst Lake is generally a quite waterless place; during the month of September you get the most rain around here, and January meanwhile is the driest month. You imagine that's enough? Just getting warmed up. There are plenty of folks from Evanston here at Amethyst Lake, and from Amethyst Lake you obtain a brilliant vista of Lamotte Peak. This lake is so wonderful. The East Fork Pinto Lake Trail offers hiking at its  
   best; not far from Amethyst Lake you'll discover Gladys Lake which is a pretty lake.
Life's too short to enjoy all the fun things in the Uinta Mountains. If you came for an overnight stay Highline Trail Head Campground is a magnificent location to camp. For the duration of the long summer days at Amethyst Lake temperatures are commonly in the 80's while night lows are typically in the 40's. High temperatures throughout the winter are normally in the 30's, and night
 
               lows at Amethyst Lake through the winter regularly plunge into the 0's. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Blacks Fork - West Fork, and there's great hiking along the Highline Trail.
All year is a fine time in the Uinta Mountains if you fancy the outdoors. Amethyst Lake is right by the Bear River Smiths Fork Trail; float down the rapids of Rock Creek in a kayak. Amethyst Lake is one of the lakes here in the Uinta Mountains. A pleasant trip to Amethyst Basin is a good way to spend an afternoon, and camping at Amethyst Lake is fine fun, Hayden Fork Campground is a fine local campground.
