    Alligator Lake is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. The Uinta Mountains scenery is always beautiful. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Alligator Lake; Bear River Smiths Fork Trail is a perfect local trail, and why not camp at Trail Head Campground since you're here at Alligator Lake. High temperatures at Alligator Lake all through the long summer days are in the 80's, and through summer nights temperatures  
   are in the 40's. For the period of the winter the highs are ordinarily in the 30's with temperatures at Alligator Lake dipping down into the 0's during winter nights.
Alligator Lake is pretty dehydrated commonly; the wettest month of the year is frequently September, that's the one that rains the most; the driest month of the year is January. There's no way somebody can get bored here in the Uinta Mountains. Good hiking is available along the High Line Trail,
 
               and at Alligator Lake you always meet someone from Evanston. All the outdoors enjoyable stuff near Alligator Lake will keep you coming back many times. Camping is available at Henrys Fork Campground.
A good spot for whitewater paddling in the neighborhood of Alligator Lake is Blacks Fork - East Fork, and you must definitely dedicate some time to Big Meadows since you're here at Alligator Lake. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Shale Dugway, and Yellowstone River is a pleasant whitewater spot nearby.
