Going for a hike along the High Line Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Lake Fork. Just can't get enough of Allen Lake. Take a hike on the Shale Dugway, and an interesting thing to explore in close proximity to Allen Lake is Lake Atwood Dam. So much fun stuff in the Uinta Mountains, just       inspiring. Hiking along the Fish Creek National Recreation Trail is nice fun; if you come at the right time of year, Yellowstone River offers some fine whitewater. Around Allen Lake you don’t get a lot of rainfall; the month of September is the wettest with most of the rain; March is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. At Allen Lake you can make out Mount Emmons, and you can stay the night at Swift Creek Campground. This lake                  is located in the wonderful Uinta Mountains. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Allen Lake has to offer, you can camp at Riverview Campground; Allen Lake is not the only location close by, Lake Atwood is a close by lake. This lake is so wonderful. A lake close by is Allred Lake, and while you're here you will meet lots of folks from close by Evanston. Summertime at Allen Lake comes with high temperatures in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 40's.
