Colorado River has a brilliant whitewater paddling spot nearby, and close by you hit upon the Canyon of the Eagles Trail which is a brilliant hiking trail. This lake is so wonderful. A brilliant spot to camp here at Wilson Lake is Colorado Bend State Park; the Colorado Bend State Park Trail is a splendid hiking trail close by. Why not camp at Texas Hills RV Haven while       you're here at Wilson Lake; there is a nice hiking trail nearby called the Cedar Point Recreation Area Trail. The yearly rainfall here at Wilson Lake is about average; May is the wettest month with most rain; December meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Best Western Llano is a good choice, and at Wilson Lake Dam in close proximity to Wilson Lake there are some exciting things to see. During the summertime                  months highs here at Wilson Lake reach the 90's. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 70's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 50's; night lows in the 30's for Wilson Lake. Days Inn and Suites Llano is a great place to get some rest; in the event that you don't mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Cherokee Creek.
