Lakes are such calm sites, why not stop at Morse Lake right next door to Wilson Lake, and if you need a location to stay Days Inn Fairfield is a glorious choice. Wilson Lake gets a normal amount of yearly precipitation; May is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest of the months is July. This lake is so wonderful. A brilliant close by hotel is Holiday Inn Express FAIRFIELD, and if you came to camp Lake Buffalo Campground is a good spot to do that.

| | At Wilson Lake throughout the months of summer highs are in the 90's. For the period of the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 70's. Throughout the winter this place gets highs in the 50's while Wilson Lake nighttime low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 30's.

its best, and why not a little side journey to Dowdy Branch. There are other places here than Wilson Lake, for example Hogshead Lake, and Wilson Lake is pleasant enough to spend more than a day at, Newman's RV Park is a pleasant local campground.
