Willis Lake is always a pleasure to visit. An average amount of precipitation falls at Willis Lake; the month with most of the rain is May; December is when it's the driest. Life's too short to enjoy all the amusing things near Willis Lake. A pretty lake like Moore Lakes near Willis Lake is a fine place to check out; great hiking is available along the Kerr Wildlife Management Area Trail. This lake is so wonderful. | | Kerrville, and camping at Riverside RV Park is always a good experience. High temperatures at Willis Lake during the warm days of summer are in the 90's while overnight lows are regularly in the 60's. During the wintertime the highs are regularly in the 60's; winter nights come with lows in the 30's to Willis Lake. If you came to camp Ingram Lake RV Park is a wonderful site to do that, and the beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Kelly Springs. This | |

lake is so wonderful. Very fine water scenery is available at Willis Lake Dam right next door to Willis Lake, and there's some flowing water close by, North Fork Guadalupe River is a stream you can visit during your stay. Do stop
at Lake New Ingram in close proximity to Willis Lake, it's a beautiful lake, and if you need a place to stay Inn of the Hills Resort and Conference Center is a splendid choice. If you're here, you might as well check out Ox Hollow, and a good nearby hotel is Comfort Inn Kerrville.

Kerr Wildlife Management Area Trail
 | 11 miles away We have had several disappointed visitors show up at the Kerr WMA due to this website. To be clear, the Kerr WMA is a research and demonstration site owned by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department. It is not a state park and we do not have all the amenities of such. There is no overnight camping allowed and hiking is limited to one existing trail and paved roads due to on-going research on native and endangered species. Visitors are welcome to drive the main road and bathrooms are available.... |
