If you like lakes and you're in this part of Texas you can check out Williamson Lake. For the duration of the long summer days highs here at Williamson Lake get into the 90's while night lows are typically in the 70's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 60's while Williamson Lake nighttime low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 30's. | | if you came for an overnight stay Park On The Lake is a delightful place to camp. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Best Western Willis; don't forget to take a magnificent little trip to Bell Creek.
That right there is heaps already, but it keeps on going; Williamson Lake has it all. If you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Wedgewood Golf Course is nearby, and San Jo Cove is a splendid campground nearby. This lake is so wonderful. | |

After a long day outdoors Landing At Seven Cove (Vri) is a great site to spend a night or two. There's perfect hiking along the Sweetleaf Nature Trail, and Williamson Lake is not the only place close by, Calfee Lake is a close by
lake.
Good hiking is available along the Stubblefield Lake Trail, and a lake nearby is Lewis Creek Reservoir. All the water falling down from the sky makes Williamson Lake a wet place; during the month of May you get the most
rain around here while July is usually the driest month. There's always Lewis Creek Dam to stop at near Williamson Lake; lots of folks from Huntsville come here.
