Williams Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Texas RV Resort is a great local campground; since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always go to close by Twin Lakes Number 1. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are perfect; Tedrow Lake is a lake that's in the vicinity of Williams Lake, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Denton Creek.       If you need a site to stay Fairfield Inn and Suites by Marriott Denton is a pleasant choice, and the Ray Roberts Greenbelt Corridor Trail is a tremendous hiking trail nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Here at Williams Lake there are plenty of folks from Gainesville, and if the weather is good, you can go for a hike along the South Lakes Park Trail. Be careful coming to Williams Lake, you might not ever wanna go home again. Value Place Denton is a good place                  to get some rest; camping at Post Oak Place is always a wonderful experience. While you're here at Williams Lake you can take a hike along the North Lakes Park Trail, and Texas Woman's University Golf Course is a tremendous golf course nearby. Williams Lake gets a typical amount of annual precipitation; during May this area sees the most rain, and the driest of the months is January. During the warmest time of the year highs here at Williams Lake get into the 90's. When the night sets in temperatures fall down into the 70's. High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the 50's while Williams Lake night low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 20's.
