If you are in Burnet county it's always a good idea to stop by Wildcat Lake. You can run the rapids of Colorado River near Wildcat Lake; fine hiking is available along the Canyon of the Eagles Trail. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Wildcat Lake; Cedar Point Recreation Area Trail is a wonderful local trail. Visit Bee Creek while you're here at Wildcat Lake, and the Colorado Bend State Park Trail offers hiking at its best.

Wildcat Lake is a good location of normal precipitation; May is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month is January. All through
the summer months here at Wildcat Lake, high temperatures regularly reach the 90's. Summer night lows descend down to the 70's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 50's, and winter nights come with lows in the 30's to Wildcat Lake.
