    If you are in Burnet county it's always a good idea to stop by Wildcat Lake. You can run the rapids of Colorado River near Wildcat Lake; fine hiking is available along the Canyon of the Eagles Trail. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Wildcat Lake; Cedar Point Recreation Area Trail is a wonderful local trail. Visit Bee Creek while you're here at Wildcat Lake, and the Colorado Bend State Park Trail offers hiking at its best.
This lake is so wonderful.
 
   Stay the night at Buchanan Village RV Park, and after a long day outdoors Best Western Post Oak Inn is a great spot to spend a night or two. Man, is there loads of amusing things to do in the vicinity of Wildcat Lake. Wildcat Lake is a great place to visit for more than one day, Hi-Line Lake Resort is a great place to camp nearby, and great water scenery is available at Wildcat Dam next to Wildcat Lake. A delightful nearby hotel is Canyon Of The Eagles Lodge  
               & Nature Center, and there's whitewater on Colorado River for all you adrenaline people.
Wildcat Lake is a good location of normal precipitation; May is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month is January. All through the summer months here at Wildcat Lake, high temperatures regularly reach the 90's. Summer night lows descend down to the 70's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 50's, and winter nights come with lows in the 30's to Wildcat Lake.
