Lakes are magnificent; Kaase Reservoir is a lake that's in the vicinity of Whitehead Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Days Inn San Angelo; since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop at close by Johnson Lake. Whitehead Reservoir is ordinarily a rather dry location; most of the rain falls through September, and the driest month       is January. After a long day outdoors Econo Lodge & Suites is a pleasant location to spend a night or two; Whitehead Dam is a lovely place. I can't stop, cause I'm havin' a great time here at Whitehead Reservoir. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Concho River. There's so much to do here at Whitehead Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, San Angelo Koa Kampground is a delightful location for that, and a tour to Lipan Spring will fill your soul                  with magnificent feelings. All through the days of summer highs here at Whitehead Reservoir get into the 90's. During the moonlight hours it's typically in the 70's.
