A perfect site to camp here at Ward Lake is Village Creek State Park; you must unquestionably stop at Brushy Bluff while here. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are such serene places, why not go to Big Eddy Lake right next door to Ward Lake; there are great sites to explore along the Big Thicket - Kirby Nature Trail. Summertime brings highs in the 90's to Ward Lake. Throughout the moonlight hours it's ordinarily in the 60's. Daytime highs through the wintertime

Ward Lake is a reasonably wet place usually with a good deal of rain; throughout the month of June you get the most rain around here; April is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. If you haven’t
been to Big Thicket National Preserve, you ought to schedule some time for it while you're here, and La Quinta Inn & Suites Lumberton is a great spot to get some rest. Gentry Lake is a great lake right next door to Ward Lake, and going for a hike on the Tyrell Park Trail is always a good adventure.
