After a long day outdoors Comfort Inn & Suites is a good site to spend a night or two, and a lake nearby is Amistad Reservoir. If you want a nice time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Walk Lake. A great close by hotel is Del Rio Inn & Suites, and Windmill Canyon is also a nice place to explore. This lake is so wonderful. Long Point is near Walk Lake and is a glorious location to visit. There's       so much to do here at Walk Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Rough Canyon Marina is a fine site for that. Around Walk Lake you don’t get a lot of precipitation; September is when you get the most rain here while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation. In the event that you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Devils River. Walk Lake is not the only place close by, Moody Lake is a close                  by lake; Amistad National Recreation Area is a very tremendous site to visit. You'll meet a lot of people from Del Rio here, and if you came to camp Broke Mill RV Park is a good site to do that. During the days of summer at Walk Lake temperatures are ordinarily in the 90's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 70's.
