This lake is so wonderful. A good close by hotel is AmericInn Pampa, and a pretty lake like Lake McClellan is a splendid place to explore. It is very dried up here at Wakefield Lake ordinarily; during June this area sees the most rain; December on the other hand is the driest. Best Western Northgate Inn is a good place to       get some rest. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 90's to Wakefield Lake. Summer nighttime lows plunge down to the 60's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 50's, and after the sun is down throughout the winter temperatures at Wakefield Lake plunge into the 20's.
