If you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Spring Creek River, and camping is available at Hall's RV Park. Summer at Vial Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 90's, and the nighttime is a tad colder of course, mostly in the 70's. The winter comes with highs in the 50's, and overnight lows in the 20's for Vial Lake. You can take a little trip       to Vial Lake Dam if you're here at Vial Lake; there is a brilliant hiking trail close by called the Bob Woodruff Trail. Near Vial Lake you find the Elm Fork Nature Preserve Trail which is a glorious hiking trail, and camping at Thousand Trails LP is always a good experience. There are plenty of folks from Dallas -Fort Worth-Arlington here at Vial Lake, and Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Frisco, Tx is a great place to get some rest. Vial Lake gets a normal                  amount of yearly rain; most of the rain falls during May, and December on the other hand is the driest. Man, is there a heap of exciting stuff to do close to Vial Lake. Why not spend some time golfing at a close by golf course like Stewart Peninsula Golf Course, and a wonderful close by hotel is Comfort Suites Frisco. Furneaux Creek is a magnificent whitewater spot near Vial Lake; on a great day you can take a hike along the Arbor Hills Nature Preserve Trail.
