Take a side visit to West Fork East Bosque River, and House Lake is a wonderful lake nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are such serene locations, why not stop by Shipman Lake near Upper House Lake, and there's splendid hiking along the Dinosaur Valley State Park Trail. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Paluxy River; La Quinta Inn and Suites Glen Rose is a glorious place to get some rest.

The wintertime comes with highs in the 50's with temperatures at Upper House Lake dipping down into the 30's during winter nights. At Upper House Lake you always meet someone from Granbury, and Upper House Lake is fine enough to spend more than a day at, Oakdale Park is a fine local campground. Whohoo, so much exciting stuff in one place! Upper House Lake is peerless! | |

Upper House Lake is a good spot of normal rain; the
wettest month of the year is commonly May, that's the one that rains the most, and December is when it's the driest. A magnificent place to camp here at Upper House Lake is Oakdale Camp N Fish, and why not take a refreshing hike along
the Meridian State Park Trail. This lake is so wonderful. There are some wonderful whitewater spots on North Bosque River; hiking is a popular thing to do around Upper House Lake; Bosque Trail is a great local trail.
