If you need a place to stay Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites BEAUMONT NW is a pleasant choice, and if you have the time, Big Thicket National Preserve is a national park worth checking out. This lake is so wonderful. Have       a delightful hiking adventure along the Roy E Larsen Sandyland Sanctuary Trail, and unsurprisingly, this is a fine area for folks who like lakes, Mud Lake is a lake nearby. Twin Lakes mostly gets much precipitation; May is the wettest month with most rain while August is typically the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Red Cloud Recreational Vehicle Park is a splendid site to camp. What a place this is for outdoors                  folks. While you're here at Twin Lakes you can take a hike along the Big Thicket - Kirby Nature Trail; don't leave Twin Lakes without first paying a visit to Johnsons Eddy. During the summer months at Twin Lakes temperatures are generally in the 90's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 70's. Throughout the wintertime the highs are frequently in the 50's with temperatures at Twin Lakes dipping down into the 30's during winter nights.
