For the period of the long summer days, highs regularly are in the 90's at El Tular with nighttime lows in the 70's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 60's while the cold winter nights at El Tular are in the 40's. There's so much to do here at El Tular that you need to camp here for a while, Sandpiper Trailer Park is a glorious site for that, and the summit of Loma la Jauja       can be seen from El Tular. Dry warm beds await you at South Padre Island Days Inn, and lakes are such calm places, why not check out City of Port Isabel Reservoir. Man, is there lots of entertaining things to do in the neighborhood of El Tular. Going for a hike on the Laguna Atascosa National Wildlife Refuge Trail is always a great adventure. You'll need more than a day to explore everything El Tular has to offer, you can camp at Sea Garden Park. Taking a little                  visit to nearby Laguna Vista Cove is a pleasant idea. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a site to stay Ramada Limited is a delightful choice, and while you're here you can play some golf at South Padre Island Golf Club. During your visit to El Tular you'll meet some folks from Brownsville-Harlingen for sure, and a beautiful lake like Cameron Company Fwsd Reservoir 1 is a great place to check out.
