You don’t have to go far from Lake Travis to see the water at Mansfield Dam, and get your heart pumping on the magnificent whitewater of Barton Creek. You could also pop by Apache Lake since you're here at Lake Travis; it's close by, and there's fine hiking along the Arkansas Bend Trail. You are right next door to Arrowhead Point if you're       here at Lake Travis, and golf can be played at Falconhead Golf Club. At Lake Travis through the months of summer highs are in the 90's, and all through the night it cools down to the 70's. All through the winter highs are typically in the 50's with winter lows in the 30's overnight here at Lake Travis. This lake is so wonderful. There's some flowing water close by, Bear Creek is a stream you can check out while here, and a glorious place to camp here at Lake                  Travis is Lake Travis Inn and RV Park. This lake is so wonderful. A fine place for whitewater paddling in the vicinity of Lake Travis is Bull Creek, and after a long day outdoors Vintage Villas Hotel & Conference Center is a wonderful place to spend a night or two. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this spot. Near Lake Travis you stumble on Defeat Hollow which is a pleasant site to take a look at; Santa Monica Springs is a lovely place to pop by while you're at Lake Travis. Now, you may assume that's a lot but there's even more entertaining stuff to do here at Lake Travis. Camping is available at La Hacienda RV Park; a lake nearby is Lake Travis. From a precipitation point of view Lake Travis is a pretty typical location; the wettest month of the year is frequently May, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month of the year is December.
