There are some great whitewater spots on Colorado River, and the Roy Guerrero Colorado River Park Trail is a splendid hiking trail close by. There's just no way someone can get bored here at Town Lake. Near Town Lake you stumble on a golf course called Riverside Golf Course; this is a popular site for folks from Austin-Round Rock.       Any time is a delightful time at Town Lake if you fancy the outdoors. A lake nearby is Capitol Cattle Company Lake Number 3; naturally Blunn Creek flows through this area. There is a pleasant hiking trail close to Town Lake called the Boggy Creek Greenbelt Trail, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Shoal Creek. All through the summer at Town Lake highs are mostly in the 90's. When the night sets in temperatures                  dip down into the 70's. The winter brings highs down to the 50's; winter nights come with lows in the 30's to Town Lake. Hilton Garden Inn Austin Downtown is a good spot to get some rest. There's so much to do here at Town Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Royal Palms Mobile Home and RV Community is a magnificent location for that. This lake is so wonderful. There's some exciting stuff to observe at Town Lake Dam close to Town Lake, and Oak Spring is a splendid local attraction. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Super 8 Austin/Dtwn/Capitol Area is a good place to spend a night or two; nearby you hit upon the Homestead Trail which is a nice hiking trail.
