Town Lake gets a normal amount of rain; May is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month is January. A splendid close by hotel is Capitol Place Hotel Austin - an affiliate hotel, and on a glorious day you can take a hike along the Roy Guerrero Colorado River Park Trail. Man, is there a load of amusing things to do near Town Lake. There's whitewater on Colorado River for all you adrenaline junkies, and       unsurprisingly Blunn Creek is a beautiful stream that is worth going to. This lake is so wonderful. Golf can be played at Riverside Golf Course, and a good spot to camp here at Town Lake is Royal Palms Mobile Home and RV Community. Town Lake Dam is a place that is in the vicinity of Town Lake, and lots of people from Austin-Round Rock come here. Near Town Lake you hit upon the Homestead Trail which is a tremendous hiking trail, and camping at Bel-aire Mobile                  Home Park is always a great experience. This lake is so wonderful. You can run the rapids of Shoal Creek near Town Lake, and if you've had enough of Town Lake, Stewart Lake is nearby. Austin Central Super 8 Motel is a perfect place to get some rest, of course you could also stop at Capitol Cattle Company Lake Number 3 if you're here; it's not far at all. If only every site had this much outdoors fun things, what a great globe it would be. At Town Lake during the summertime highs are in the 90's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 70's. Highs during the winter are ordinarily in the 50's; night lows through the winter for Town Lake tend to be in the 30's.
