In Texas there are many beautiful lakes, Toms Lake is one of them. This lake is so wonderful. Toms Lake gets a great deal of water; of all the months in a year May is the one with the most rain, and July is the month with the least moisture. Cape Royale Golf Club is a glorious golf course nearby, and if you want to have a look at some attention-grabbing stuff, have a look at Simon Bottom.
During the summertime months at Toms Lake temperatures are typically

in the 90's; the nighttime is slightly cooler of course, ordinarily in the 70's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 50's; nighttime lows in the 30's for Toms Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Toms Lake is perfect enough to spend more than a day at, 3278 Campgrounds and Marina is a perfect local campground, and a lake close by is Blue Lake. After a long day outdoors Park Lane Hotel At Four Seasons is a wonderful place to spend a night or two, and
on a delightful day you can take a hike along the Double Lake Trail.
The Mercy Trail is a fine hiking trail close to Toms Lake, unsurprisingly you could also stop by Stock Pen Lake if you're here; it's not far at all. A delightful close by hotel is Super 8 Livingston; if the weather is good, you can go for a hike along the Lake Livingston State Park Trail. Any time is a delightful time at Toms Lake if you go for the outdoors. Camping at Magnolia RV Park is always a glorious experience; why not take a little trip to Huffman Creek since you're here.

Lake Run-A-Muck
I remember living about 3 or 4 dirt roads past the lake coming from the main entrance (somewhere between Elsie's Alley and Rene Ln) when I was a kid (1978-1979), and the place looked nasty back then, as I believe it was a slow development.  Mostly cheap mobile homes, dirt roads and dangerous living, I could't go outside much with all of the snakes that were running loose within easy sight on a DAILY basis.  I wouldn't mids driving through to see what has since become of it, but my memory is remembers this place vividly, and not in a good way....

Lakeside RV Resort and Marina
15 miles away
Nice campground.  However I would hold off until all construction has been completed.  Great prices and nice scenery.  One problem was that probably due to construction the ants were out in force. Once completed it will be one of the nicest parks on the north side of the lake....... Striped Bass, and various other species.
