Life's too short to enjoy all the entertaining things right next door to Tinaja Lujan. The panorama of Mesa de Anguila from Tinaja Lujan is pretty, and magnificent hiking is available along the Chimneys Trail. This lake is so wonderful.       Big Bend National Park is a great national park. Lakes are great; Tinaja Blanca is a lake that's in the vicinity of Tinaja Lujan. A delightful spot to camp here at Tinaja Lujan is Maverick Ranch RV Park at Lajitas Resort and Spa. Tinaja Lujan gets very little rainfall; the wettest month of the year is regularly September, that's the one that rains the most; the driest month of the year is March. Why not camp at B J Recreational Vehicle Park since you're here                  at Tinaja Lujan, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Rio Grande. There's whitewater on Terlingua Creek for all you adrenaline rush seekers, and you can go for a hike on the Tuff Canyon Trail. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 100's to Tinaja Lujan, and throughout the night it cools down to the 70's.
