This lake is so wonderful. On a fine day at Thorn Reservoir you can take a hike along the Resler Drive Walk and Bike Trail, and Thorn Reservoir is not the only place nearby, American Reservoir is a nearby lake. Stay the night at El-Paso West RV Park, and Gaslight Square Mobile Home is a perfect campground nearby. If you       need a site to stay Comfort Suites El Paso is a nice choice, and close by you find the McKelligon Canyon Bike Trail which is a wonderful hiking trail. For the period of the summertime here at Thorn Reservoir, high temperatures regularly reach the 90's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the 50's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Thorn Reservoir. Thorn Reservoir gets                  very little rain; August is the wettest month with most rain, and April meanwhile is the driest month. What a place this is for outdoors folks. This is a popular place for folks from El Paso, and Ascarate Municipal Golf Course is a pleasant golf course nearby. A lake close by is Portland Cement Reservoir, and dry warm beds await you at El Paso Days Inn.
