This lake is so wonderful. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Texaco Lake; L B Houston Park Nature Trail is a brilliant local trail; Texaco Lake is a tremendous site to visit for more than one day, Sunset Trailer Park #2 is a tremendous site to camp nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds       await you at Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites DALLAS WEST, and the cheerful people of Dallas -Fort Worth-Arlington like to hang out nearby. So much enjoyable stuff to do at Texaco Lake, so little time. Just can't get enough of Texaco Lake. After a long day outdoors Comfort Suites Dallas is a perfect site to spend a night or two; Cedar Hollow RV Trailer Park is a tremendous local campground. Summertime highs at Texaco Lake generally tend to be in the                  90's with overnight lows in the 70's. High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the 50's while Texaco Lake night low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 20's. A normal amount of rain falls here at Texaco Lake; of all the months in a year May is the one with the most rain, and the driest month of the year is January. Elm Fork Trinity River is a glorious place to stop at, and there's great hiking along the Trinity Creek Mountain Creek Preserve Trail. You're most likely hooked on lakes, Spring Lake is one of those close by, and if you come at the right time of year, Ten Mile Creek offers some magnificent whitewater. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Mountain Creek Lake Park Trail, and if you've had enough of Texaco Lake, West Dallas Housing Project Lake is close by.
