For the period of the months of summer, highs mostly are in the 90's at Taylor Lake, and throughout the night it cools down to the 70's. During the wintertime highs are regularly in the 50's, and night lows in the 30's for Taylor Lake. Not far from Taylor Lake, you'll come across Markum       Lake Number 1 which is a pretty lake; obviously Cottonwood Creek is a pretty stream that is worth a visit. At Taylor Lake Dam near Taylor Lake there are some interesting things to see, and if you need a location to stay Best Western Velkommen is a brilliant choice. This location is great, just look at all the amusing stuff to do in the vicinity of Taylor Lake. Get your heart beating on the good whitewater of Childress Creek; nearby you come across the Cameron                  Park Hike and Bike Trail which is a pleasant hiking trail. This lake is so wonderful. You're sure to encounter some wonderful folks from Waco here. This lake is so wonderful. A perfect close by hotel is La Quinta IS Woodway Waco South, and there is a magnificent hiking trail close by called the Lake Whitney State Park Hiking Trail. Brazos River RV Park is a pleasant local campground, and you can run the rapids of Hog Creek.
