    If you are in Blanco county it's always a good idea to stop by Taylor Lake. A great sight of beautiful Big Mountain is available from Taylor Lake, and Marriott Horseshoe Bay Resort is a great spot to get some rest. Dry warm beds await you at Best Western Johnson City Inn. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Taylor Lake has to offer, you can camp at Sherwood Forest RV Park.
Summer brings highs in the 90's to Taylor Lake. When the night sets in
 
   temperatures plunge down into the 70's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 50's; winter nights come with lows in the 30's to Taylor Lake. If only every site had this much outdoors entertaining stuff, what a great world it would be. If the weather is perfect here at Taylor Lake, you can go for a hike along the Falls Trail, and you can have a nice hiking adventure along the Longhorn Cavern State Park Trail. Taylor Lake gets a common amount of annual rainfall;  
               of all the months in a year May is the one with the most rain, and the driest month of the year is January.
This lake is so wonderful. A nice spot for whitewater paddling near Taylor Lake is Pedernales River. There's so much to do here at Taylor Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Miller Creek RV Park is a splendid place for that. Get your pulse rate up on the magnificent whitewater of Sandy Creek; going for a hike along the Inks Lake State Park Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity.
