A good close by hotel is Comfort Inn & Suites Corinth, and hiking along the Leonard L Woods Park Trail is nice fun. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Denton Creek, and Cantrell Slough is near Tannery Lake and is always a diversion to explore. During the long summer days, highs generally are in the 90's at Tannery Lake. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 70's. For       the duration of the winter highs are ordinarily in the 50's, and overnight lows in the 30's for Tannery Lake. There's just no way anybody can get bored here at Tannery Lake. You'll meet a lot of people from Dallas -Fort Worth-Arlington here, and Tannery Lake is right by the Ray Roberts Greenbelt Corridor Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Hidden Cove Park is a good local campground, and Carr Lake is a glorious lake nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Get dripping                  wet paddling on Furneaux Creek, and there are other locations here than Tannery Lake, for example Crains Lake. Best Western Lake Dallas Inn & Suites is a great place to get some rest, and the Pilot Knoll Trail offers hiking at its best. Tannery Lake is a good place of normal rainfall; most of the rain falls all through May; January is when it's the driest.
