Gum Creek is a pleasant local stream, and a tremendous site to camp here at Stroman Lake is Shallow Creek Golf and RV Resort. The yearly rainfall here at Stroman Lake is about average; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month of the year is August. This lake is so wonderful. Days       Inn Kilgore is a magnificent site to get some rest, and why not stop at Stroman Lake Dam while you're here. Don't you try to stop me, cause I'm havin' a brilliant time here at Stroman Lake. Stroman Lake is not the only place close by, Monk Lake is a close by lake. All through the warmest time of the year highs here at Stroman Lake get into the 90's while overnight lows are frequently in the 70's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 50's while the                  cold winter nights at Stroman Lake are in the 30's.
