Stock Pen Lake is always a pleasure to visit. Stock Pen Lake is a wet spot that gets lots of precipitation; most of the rain falls all through May; the driest month of the year is July. This lake is so wonderful. Don't forget to take a pleasant little trip to Huffman Creek. A lovely lake like Laurent Lake in close proximity to Stock Pen Lake is a glorious location to explore; Stock Pen Lake is a tremendous place to visit for more than one day, Magnolia RV

The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 90's to Stock Pen Lake. During the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 70's. All through the winter highs are in the 50's, and through the dark hours in the wintertime at Stock Pen Lake temperatures dip to the 30's. a place to stay Park Lane Hotel At Four Seasons is a delightful choice, and you can have a nice hiking adventure along the Lake Livingston State Park Trail. Interesting geology is available here; Simon Bottom is in the neighborhood
of Stock Pen Lake, and going for a hike along the Double Lake Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area. While you're here at Stock Pen Lake you can take a hike along the Mercy Trail, and Mill Ridge Golf Club is a golf course nearby.

Lake Run-A-Muck
| I remember living about 3 or 4 dirt roads past the lake coming from the main entrance (somewhere between Elsie's Alley and Rene Ln) when I was a kid (1978-1979), and the place looked nasty back then, as I believe it was a slow development. Mostly cheap mobile homes, dirt roads and dangerous living, I could't go outside much with all of the snakes that were running loose within easy sight on a DAILY basis. I wouldn't mids driving through to see what has since become of it, but my memory is remembers this place vividly, and not in a good way.... |

Nice campground. However I would hold off until all construction has been completed. Great prices and nice scenery. One problem was that probably due to construction the ants were out in force. Once completed it will be one of the nicest parks on the north side of the lake.......o find such serenity and natural beauty surrounding the lake.
