Stalanaker Lake is a great place to camp, The Village East RV Park is a great place, and you'll meet a lot of people from Amarillo here. Not much rainfall falls here at Stalanaker Lake; most of the rain falls through June while December is generally the driest month. Amarillo Koa Kampground is a good campground here; Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites AMARILLO EAST is a glorious       location to get some rest. For the period of the summer here at Stalanaker Lake, high temperatures usually reach the 90's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 60's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 40's, and during the dark hours in the winter at Stalanaker Lake temperatures fall to the 10's. This lake is so wonderful.
