South Lake is always a pleasure to visit. Not much precipitation falls here at South Lake; the wettest month of the year is usually September, that's the one that rains the most while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Dry warm beds await you at Scottish Inns & Suites Merkel; South Lake Dam is not far at all from South Lake. This lake is so wonderful. If you're a golfer then a glorious nearby course is Hamlin Golf Course; a striking

| | lake like West Lake is a tremendous location to pop by. All through the months of summer at South Lake highs are mostly in the 90's with night lows in the 60's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 50's, and overnight lows at South Lake during the wintertime ordinarily drop into the 20's. Lakes are such peaceful places, why not visit Moore Lake close to South Lake, and Morning Star Inn and RV Campground is a wonderful campground nearby.

 | 19 miles away I have lived in Stamford Texas for 35 yrs as I was born and raised there. I have never heard of brick lake...only red lake #1 and red lake #2 and the #1 is no longer there since the bi pass went in...and #2 has not had any fish in it in o well over 20 yrs.... |
