Throughout the warmest time of the year at Smith Lake temperatures are generally in the 90's. During the moonlight hours it's regularly in the 70's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 50's with winter lows in the 30's overnight here at Smith Lake. On a delightful day at Smith Lake you can take a hike along the Jim Hogg State Historical Park Trail, and       if you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Neches River. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Smith Lake you can take a hike along the Mount Hope Tract Trail. Dry warm beds await you at Executive Inn; the top of Rocky Point is easily seen from Smith Lake. Hollywood Club Lake Dam is beautiful and it's near Smith Lake, and why not take a little tour to Brushy Creek since you're here. Smith Lake gets a                  normal amount of yearly rain; of all the months in a year May is the one with the most rain, and the driest month is August. Smith Lake is a place with many visitors from Jacksonville. There's so much to do here at Smith Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Lake Tyler Marina is a pleasant spot for that. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Americas Best Value Inn is a great choice, and there is a great hiking trail nearby called the Nature Trail. And if that's not enough, there's heaps more to do near Smith Lake.
