For the period of the long summer days here at Smith Lake, high temperatures regularly get into the 90's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 70's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 50's, and nighttime lows at Smith Lake during the winter regularly sink into the 30's. Smith Lake gets a typical amount of precipitation; May is the month that gets the most rain,       and the driest month of the year is August. If only every place had this much outdoors enjoyable things, what a great planet it would be. Going for a hike along the Lake Bryan Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area; a nice close by hotel is Americas Best Value Inn. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a location to stay LaSalle Hotel is a great choice; playing golf is lots of fun at Bryan Golf Course. Lakes? Sure, Dobrovolny Lake is in                  close proximity, and Smith Lake Dam has great water scenery. Cottonwood Branch is close to Smith Lake and is always a diversion to stop by, and why not camp at Timberlake Mobile Home Park if you're here at Smith Lake.
