Go to Smith Lake if you want to go to a nice lake. And if that's not enough, there's loads more to do near Smith Lake. Go for a hike on the Northern Loop Trail. Little Sandy Creek is one of the streams nearby that might be worth stopping at, and why not camp at Elgin Bird Haven RV Park while you're here at Smith Lake. If you came for an overnight stay Way Campground is a great spot to camp, and a great nearby hotel is Days Inn Bastrop.
