You're in all probability addicted to lakes, Sludge Fill Pond Number 1 is one of those close by, and Hunter RV Park is a fine local campground. Simms Lake gets a lot of water; May is the month that gets the most rain, and August is when it's the driest. A spree to Gum Gully is always fun, and there are plenty of folks from Houston-Baytown-Sugar Land here. This is no spot for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves. Why not camp at San Jacinto Riverfront RV Park if you're here at Simms Lake; dry warm beds await you at Americans Best Value Inn. At Simms Lake all through the months of summer highs are in the 90's, and the nighttime is a little chillier of course, commonly in the 70's.
