Shelby Lake regularly gets a large amount of precipitation; of all the months in a year December is the one with the most rain, and August is when it's the driest. Summer at Shelby Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 90's while overnight lows are regularly in       the 70's. High temperatures throughout the winter are normally in the 50's, and through the dark hours in the winter at Shelby Lake temperatures plunge to the 30's. Camping is available at Twin Dikes Marina, and dry warm beds await you at Budget Inn. Johnson Flats is a wonderful location to check out, and there's some flowing water close by, Dallas Branch is a stream you can explore while here. Shelby Lake beyond doubt is in the middle of a striking outdoors                  paradise. Don't leave Shelby Lake without first going for a hike along the Sawmill Hiking Trail, and a glorious location to camp here at Shelby Lake is Beech Grove Campground. This lake is so wonderful.
