The beauty of Scrutchin Lake is reason enough to stop by. Throughout the warmest time of the year highs here at Scrutchin Lake reach the 90's. All through the moonlight hours it's regularly in the 70's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 50's with winter lows in the 30's overnight here at Scrutchin Lake. If you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Blanco River; lots of people from Austin-Round Rock

If you came to camp Pecan RV Park is a delightful location to do that, and while you're here you can take a hike along the Prospect Park Trail. That right
there is a lot already, but it carries on; Scrutchin Lake has it all. Hampton Inn is a great spot to get some rest, and the Guadalupe Park Trail is a delightful hiking trail nearby. A good close by hotel is Hampton Inn & Suites San
Marcos, Tx; Blanco River is one of the streams nearby that might be worth checking out.
